For many visitors, anime is the reason to walk into a parlour. In Tokyo’s 2025 visitor survey, 20.7% of overseas visitors named Japanese anime and manga as a reason for visiting Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Government). When MARUHAN let 335 people try machines at its Anime Expo booth in Los Angeles back in 2017, 91% said they wanted to play in Japan (PR Times).
Here’s what’s actually on the floors right now.
How we built this list
We started from two public Japanese popularity lists: P-World’s nationwide pachislot installation ranking (checked 4 October 2026) and PiDEA’s weekly pachinko utilisation ranking (week of 21–27 September 2026). From those we picked out the anime-, manga-, game- and TV-licensed machines, plus the two beginner series (Juggler and Sea Story). We don’t reproduce third-party rankings or percentages. We only use them to see which titles are common right now. Line-ups change constantly, so this page is dated and will be refreshed monthly.
The list (October 2026)
Smart machines (marked above) use electronic balls or credits instead of loose ones. Smart pachislot carries an L or スマスロ in its name, and smart pachinko an e (Sammy; name prefixes explained, Japanese). They play the same way. You just won’t handle loose medals or balls.
Franchises fans ask about that weren’t in this month’s lists
| Franchise | What we found | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Evangelion | エヴァ パチンコ is still a top related search in Japan, and a newer title (エヴァ 未来への咆哮) was rising in searches, but no Evangelion machine appeared in the lists we checked (Google Trends) | Checking |
| Re:Zero | リゼロ パチンコ is a top related search in Japan, but it wasn’t in the lists | Checking |
| Lupin the Third | Not in the lists we checked | Unverified |
| Monogatari series | Not in the lists we checked | Unverified |
| Symphogear | Was on MARUHAN’s Anime Expo 2017 booth, but not in the current lists | Unverified for 2026 |
“Not in the lists” doesn’t mean you won’t find these machines. Older titles often stay in halls. It just means we can’t confirm them yet.
Titles rising in Japanese searches
Japanese searches for pachinko and pachislot are cooling overall, but the rising searches are almost all anime machines: Karakuri Circus, Fire Force, Blue Lock, The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses, Lycoris Recoil, Gundam SEED, Tokyo Revengers and Evangelion for pachinko, and Kabaneri, Fire Force, Oki Doki DUO, Bancho ZERO, Resident Evil RE2, Saga of Tanya the Evil and Granbelm for pachislot (relative Google Trends data via the PachiPass research report). We’ll add machine pages as we verify each title.
How to find a machine in a hall
- Search the Japanese title. The Japanese name is on every machine page in our database. For example, Tokyo Ghoul is 東京喰種.
- Check the hall’s website. Many halls publish a machine list or floor map. Island Akihabara, for example, posts its machine list and floor map online (Island Akihabara).
- Ask staff. Show the Japanese title on your phone.
Browse everything, with filters by franchise and type, in the machine database.
Quick answers
Are there anime pachinko machines?
Yes, lots. In late 2026, licensed anime and game titles such as Tokyo Ghoul, Sword Art Online, Lycoris Recoil, Fist of the North Star, Kabaneri, Madoka Magica, Fire Force, Karakuri Circus, Kaguya-sama and Monster Hunter Rise all have machines in Japanese parlours.
Is there an Evangelion pachinko machine?
Evangelion pachinko machines are still heavily searched in Japan, but no Evangelion machine appeared in the October 2026 popularity lists we checked. We're verifying current titles.
How do I find which parlour has a specific anime machine?
Many halls publish their installed-machine list on their own website (in Japanese). Japanese portals such as P-World also list halls and machines. Search for the Japanese title, for example 東京喰種.
